Director. Will earned his trade as an apprentice, gaining on-the-job skills and experience for two years before qualifying as a carpenter in 2007. He worked in both commercial and domestic environments until he chose to join the British Army, where he served for four years with the Royal Engineers. In 2014 he left the army to set up West & Hill with his good friend Rick and hasn’t looked back since.
Director. Rick started work in the construction industry in 2005. The majority of Rick’s early experience was in the flooring sector, in both commercial and domestic environments, where he gained a huge amount of knowledge about a range of products which he brings to his work at West and Hill. In 2013 he gained his NVQ level 2 in flooring, providing him with the credentials to back up his many years of experience. Since forming West and Hill in 2014, Rick has applied himself to various trades as required by the job in question, including joinery and plastering. He has recently achieved level 3 NVQ in plastering through on site assessment.
Danny is a qualified brick layer who joined the firm as an employee in 2017 but has worked with West & Hill from the beginning. Danny has over 10 years experience in the building industry and has renovated several of his own properties himself, using the skills and experience he has gained along the way. Danny is the face of our social media and you can see his videos about the work that we do on our Facebook and Instagram pages.
With over 20 years of experience, Leki is employed as West and Hill’s Chief Carpenter. Leki joined West and Hill in 2018 after impressing the guys with his carpentry skills and work ethic. He is a qualified joiner, experienced in everything from concrete shuttering, to detailed second fix carpentry. A problem solver, he also gets involved in other general building tasks.
James is a qualified electrician who has been working in the audio visual industry for 10 years. He has been friends with Rick and Will for many years and joined West and Hill as an employee in 2018. James has a particular interest in renewable and eco-friendly construction techniques, and will be developing his renewable energy qualifications to meet with an emerging market where these issues are key.
Liam is studying Joinery & Carpentry at Leeds college of building and joined us as an Apprentice in 2018. A keen worker who is eager to learn and apply his developing skills, Liam is already proving himself to be a valuable addition to the team.
